This infectiously uplifting track caught the ear of Gilles Peterson who played it on his Saturday BBC 6 Music show a day after its release and on wordlwidefm. Wham’s ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go Go’ and Laura Nyro’s ‘Jimmy Mack’ haunted Kelsey’s dreams as she tried to capture their celebratory immediacy during the recording of the song. Mounts Bay Morning urges the listener to act, junk the mundane routine, grab a coat, a soul mate, catch the breeze, tumble out of the door and go out and live!
Music Of The Waves has the hook and melody of a pop song alongside latin infused percussion and a cinematic expansiveness reflecting the Cornish landscape. Inner and outer worlds merge with dreams and the hypnosis of the music of the waves. It's a song to dream to. The track was released 1st December 2023 along with a sumptuous video featuring Kelsey's video journal of West Cornwall landscape and nature. Music Of The Waves has been played on the radio waves from Cornwall to London, Hamburg to Moscow and in the USA.
